Description

Druk Path Trek

The Druk Path Trek is a classic five‑day Himalayan route that connects the valleys of Paro and Thimphu, offering a blend of scenic beauty and cultural depth. As the trail crosses the forested mountains between the two regions, trekkers pass through quiet highlands where yak herders still live traditionally, giving a glimpse into Bhutan’s mountain culture.

The journey moves through diverse landscapes—blue pine forests, rhododendron-covered slopes, open alpine meadows, and a chain of pristine lakes. Along the way, hikers encounter ancient temples, impressive dzongs, and remote villages, adding meaningful cultural experiences to the natural surroundings.

Famous for its rhododendron blooms in April and May and its clear autumn skies, the trek rewards travelers with sweeping Himalayan views, including Mount Gangkar Puensum. With moderate difficulty and rich cultural highlights, it remains one of Bhutan’s most scenic and soulful trekking adventures.
