GANGTEY & PHOBJIKHA VALLEY

Gangtey Valley is one of the most beautiful regions in Bhutan, known for its wide, open landscape surrounded by mountains. Unlike most enclosed valleys in the country, it offers a rare sense of vastness and space after a steep climb through dense forests.

At its heart lies Phobjikha Valley, the winter home of endangered black-necked cranes. The area features the Nakay Chhu and Gay Chhu rivers and is rich in natural beauty, legends, and biodiversity near the Black Mountain National Park.
