Punakha Tshechu is one of Bhutan’s most popular religious festivals, held at the magnificent Punakha Dzong. The festival celebrates Guru Rinpoche and preserves Bhutan’s Buddhist teachings through sacred dances, traditional performances, and spiritual ceremonies.

The highlight of the festival is the unveiling of the Thongdrol, a giant sacred tapestry of Guru Rinpoche. It is believed that viewing the Thongdrol brings blessings, purification, and spiritual liberation to devotees.

Day 1 - 2: Arrival & Punakha Exploration
